Beyond Words Creative Arts Therapy is growing! We're seeking passionate and dedicated creative arts therapists to join our team of contracted professionals facilitating services across Western Pennsylvania. If you're a credentialed music therapist, art therapist, yoga therapist, or dance-movement therapist with a desire to make a meaningful impact, we’d love to hear from you.
Position Overview
As a contracted therapist with Beyond Words Creative Arts Therapy, you will be responsible for providing high-quality creative arts therapy services to clients across a variety of settings, including schools, residential programs, psychiatric facilities, and community agencies. Sessions may be individual or group-based and will align with each site's goals and population needs. This role offers flexibility and creative autonomy within a structured and collaborative team environment.
Job Duties & Expectations

Facilitate the delivery of individual and/or group creative arts therapy sessions

Travel to client sites to provide services

Attend and actively participate staff meetings

Communicate clearly and consistently with administrative staff

Ensure timely and accurate session documentation (within 24 hours)

Adhere to each site’s program timeline and structure

Maintain professional interactions with coworkers, site contacts, and clients

Uphold ethical and professional standards aligned with your credentialing body

Communicate scheduling needs and availability in a timely manner

Be open to feedback, learning, and collaborative problem-solving
Qualifications

Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a creative arts therapy field

Active credentialing as a music therapist (MT-BC), art therapist (ATR or ATR-BC), dance-movement therapist (R-DMT), or certified yoga therapist (C-IAYT)

Must have a valid driver's license, access to a reliable vehicle, and be willing to travel

Able to work flexible hours across a variety of environments

Strong written, verbal, and nonverbal communication skills

Functional computer skills

Highly organized and detail-oriented
